If you are interested in a research position in my lab, please read the relevant section before contacting me.
I am available as a project supervisor for students in COMP90055, COMP90060-COMP90071, and COMP90078-COMP90081. Projects offered in my lab generally include:
Other topics are available as well, so if you’re interested in a project involving human or computer vision, image processing, attention, or information visualisation feel free to contact me.
I have limited spaces for PhD students in my lab. If you are interested in applying for a position, please send me an email with your CV, undergraduate and postgraduate transcripts, and a short (2-4 page) research proposal explaining the project you are interested in pursuing in my lab.
I generally do not have funding for PhD students outside of advertised opportunities. If you are not already funded, you may be eligible for a scholarship from the University of Melbourne (http://services.unimelb.edu.au/scholarships/research), but note that scholarships for international students are extremely competitive.
Please note that I receive a very large number of PhD requests, so I am not able to reply to all emails. PhD inquiries which do not include the documents listed above probably will not receive a reply.
I am not able to take on interns, visiting scholars, or research assistants.
